Marah Louw visited University of Pretoria, Mamelodi Campus on Saturday to talk about her book (Autobiography) It’s Me, Marah that was recently launched.
Marah Louw had a lead role on the SABC2 television soapie Muvhango and has acted in numerous musicals, stage plays and feature films. She is currently acting in Mzansi Magic telenovela The Queen.
She had her book discussion with the audience as part of Tjo!StoryFest program. She described her book as a life story, all the sad times she had, joy and triumph that has been part of her life.
Even although she’s famous, she said that she’s never scared to be judged by her readers. What was important to her was to be as honest as possible. She also encouraged the audience who were also interested in writing their own books to be honest while writing and that it has to be a true story, what has happened in their lives and not what they make up.
