Bukra Manana hosted a project called First Ladies Lunch. The event took place on the 09th August 2018 at Bukra Manana Events Venue in Sinoville Pretoria. The hoster and some of his visitors are Mamelodians.
The project was aimed at bringing women of diverse backgrounds for an event will be focusing on self-renewal, and fostering women empowerment, inspiration and provoking conversation that matters to all women. It was celebrated with activities that stimulates women, fellowship and food. Phenomenal speakers were invited at the event to engage in a theme “WOMEN YOU CAN”.
“There was full beffet lunch served and musical entertainment by women singers and give away sponsored by Van Loveren Wines and Miss H. Speakers were Dr Mabuza (Dietician) Ms Dikeledi Sello (HIV activist and Chairperson of Tshwane Wome’s Chamber), Mpho Mathebula Radio Presenter of Hope FM and Tshegofatso Maotwe (Image consultant)”, said Mr Jones Mohlalowa, Marketing and Communications Director of Bukra Manana Events Venue.
According to Mr Jones, the event was very successful in light of the fact that the venue Bukra Manana was not known to many women, the event of this nature were celebrated elsewhere and it was more than what we have expected as organisers. He added that, women’s day is basically for recognisisng the participation of women in the struggle of black emancipation.
As the theme of the event was “Women You Can”. I think it is still fair that the plight of women is still supported. In this way it sends out the message out there to many of stereotyped men who still has a perception of discriminating and oppressing women because of their gender. Bukra Manana’s message to women is that they are strong and capable of being who they want to be. We are proud of the women of South Africa and we will always support the plight of women as Bukras Manana’s Events Venue.
